LGBTI equality and human rights in Europe and Central Asia

Upcoming training!

ILGA-Europe is calling for participants to a 3-day training on “Financial Management and Funds Administration: towards Sustainable Change” taking place on 31 March -2 April 2015 in Budapest, Hungary.

This training is organised within the framework of ILGA-Europe’s capacity building strategic objective. We have identified the need to provide member organisations with further financial management knowledge and skills necessary to effectively operate an NGO. We have also identified member organisation’s need to extend their practical skills on how to properly administer financial resources in accordance with donors’ requirements.

The training aims to equip the participants with sufficient knowledge and skills on efficient financial management and its links with organisational development, overall project implementation, budgeting, fundraising and reporting. Through this training, the participants are expected to develop and further their skills in financial management that would contribute to ensuring their organisations’ sustainability. During the training, different tools of financial management, procedures and their practical use will be explored linking them to overall goals and objectives of the organisations. Participants will also be encouraged to share their experiences. The training will be led by ILGA-Europe staff.

The training will bring together total 20 participants from ILGA-Europe member organisations and other LGBTI organisations working in the European region. The participants are expected to actively follow-up on the training by applying the obtained knowledge and skills in their countries and instilling their knowledge to improve the internal functioning of their organisations.
