Council of Europe campaign: action day against LGBTI-phobic hate speech
To mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, the Council of Europe is launching an action day within its campaign called No Hate Speech Movement. Today they will target LGBTI-phobic hate speech online. Read more here what you can do.
The No Hate Speech Movement is celebrating the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia 2013. You can participate and take an online stand for human rights for all! Join the collective actions against hate speech which targets people's gender identity and sexual orientation.

- Be creative! Make a video or take a photo, upload it on the #nohatespeech movement website to share your message: why are you against homophobia, biphobia, transphobia etc.; why do you stand for equal rights, what is your experience of hate speech. - Report hate speech online at Hate speech watch. Many deny that hate speech exists, so we need to raise awareness and expose its extent.
- Respond to hate speech! Here you can find some examples.
- Convince politicians and decision makers to take the pledge against hate speech which targets people’s gender identity and sexual orientation! Find the pledge here.
